About Faith Community

At Faith Community Church, our entire ministry is centered on knowing, following and serving Jesus Christ. We emphasize teaching the Bible, believing it to be God’s authority for living life according to His design.

Whether it’s in our Sunday worship service or one of our small groups, our desire is to help you better understand the meaning of God’s Word and how it applies to your life.

What We Believe

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men, and the Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe in one God who is Creator and Ruler of the universe, infinitely perfect and eternally existing in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father, and is fully God and fully man in one person. He was born of the Virgin Mary, and lived a sinless human life. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. Further, He arose bodily from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death. He ascended into Heaven, where, at the right hand of the Father, He now is our High Priest, and Advocate.

We believe in the deity of the Holy Spirit; that He is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He convicts and regenerates the believing sinner, and indwells, baptizes, seals, guides, gifts, instructs, and empowers the believer for godly living and service.

We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but by voluntary transgression fell into sin and is thereby separated from God. Humanity, unaided by the Holy Spirit, is unable to reconcile themselves to God.

We believe that the death of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification, and reconciliation to God. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as personal Savior as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty and receive God’s free gift of eternal life.

We believe that the church is composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the Head. This body is manifest in local churches which are centers of believers gathered for worship, edification, fellowship, evangelism and the observance of the ordinances of Baptism and The Lord’s Supper.

We believe in the personal, pre-tribulational, and pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead. The believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord in heaven; and the unbeliever to eternal separation from God in Hell. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.
